Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines” featuring Pharrell and T.I. has made radio history and broken the record for highest radio audience ever.

According to a press release issued Friday by Thicke’s label, Interscope Records the track has reached more than 242.65 million listeners, breaking the previous record of 188.8 million.

“This achievement follows on the heels of the track breaking the record for biggest-single week downloads so far this year when it did more than 428,000 during the week ending June 23rd.  ”

Robin should be thanking his music video director for his latest accomplishment as it seems to have alot to do with the success of the single. The video which was released last March is quite simple yet interesting, probably due to scenes of mild nudity.

Thicke is no new comer when it comes to chart topping music though, as he has written hits for popular artists such as Christina AguileraJennifer HudsonUsher andMary J. Blige.

Look out for his upcoming new album which is carded for release on July 30th.
