Guess which Caribbean athlete has his own character in a game, as if you didn’t know from the headline, yes Usain Bolt has made his way into the gaming world. Six-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has been added as a playable character in the popular running game for Android and Apple devices “Temple Run 2.” Bolt made history when he was chosen by the game’s developers, Imangi Studio to became the first real life based character available for the game. His character is available for download as a 99-cent in-app for a limited time. The Jamaican runner is already making loads of money via his sorting craft and also makes quite a killing in the game as his character has a special power-up feature that allows him to collect coins while in boost mode. He is also featured in his signature yellow and green Jamaican uniform. Since the original game was released, Bolt has been a fan and admitted to playing the game regularly and even holding a record in 28 million. “It’s an honor to be a part of such an established game,” he said in an email to The Times. “Many of my fans have told me that I should be a playable character in Temple Run, so when this opportunity was put before me, I had to say YES!” Bold has been offered other video game deals in the past, but he said “Temple Run 2″ was the best fit for him.
